a POSTER to remember

Konzept und Design des Poster für die Oscar-Gala 2007, demnach der 79th Academy Awards, entwarfen TBWA\Chiat\Day in Los Angeles. Neben der sehr wohl bekannten Statue, zieren 75 relevante Filmzitate das Motiv. Aus der bis dahin 78-jährigen Geschichte der Academy, wurde aus fast jedem Jahr ein markanter Spruch oder eingängiges Wort Courtesy of AMPASeines einflussreichen Films gefunden. Einer schaffte es sogar zweimal auf das Poster. Und nein, es war nicht DER PATE.

Ganz im erklärten Sinne der Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, die Kraft und Kunst im Film zu ehren, war es die Idee, nicht unbedingt den jeweiligen ‚Best Picture‘-Gewinner zu zitieren. Viel mehr war es eine Möglichkeit, durch den Wiedererkennungseffekt dem Publikum ihre kulturelle und gesellschaftliche Verbundenheit zum Film in Erinnerung zu rufen.

Wer bis zur Statue hinunter scrolled, sieht die Liste inklusive des Filmtitels und der Jahreszahl. Bis dahin: Beim Raten viel Spaß, der dann nach dem Klick beginnt…
